Help Desk Technician – IT Support | Tier 1Sigma, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused Help Desk Technician to provide technical support for our client in Aurora, Colorado. This is a 6-month onsite contract opportunity for an entry-level IT support professional with 1–2 years of help desk experience and a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Active Directory, Windows and Apple computers, mobile device troubleshooting, Microsoft applications, remote technical support, and IT ticketing systems. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering timely and effective technical assistance.Work ScheduleShift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMLocation: Aurora, ColoradoDuration: 6-month contractWork Arrangement: OnsiteKey ResponsibilitiesProvide first-level IT help desk support to users experiencing hardware, software, and technical issues.Troubleshoot Windows and Apple computers, identifying and resolving common technical problems.Use Active Directory to manage user accounts and support account-related requests.Diagnose and resolve basic mobile device issues.Perform basic network troubleshooting to identify connectivity and access problems.Provide remote technical support and guide users through troubleshooting steps.Troubleshoot common Microsoft applications and resolve routine application-related issues.Log, track, update, and resolve support requests using an IT ticketing system.Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and escalated issues accurately.Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate support teams when necessary.Communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.Follow established IT support procedures and service standards.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.1–2 years of help desk, IT support, or technical support experience.Hands-on experience using Active Directory for account management.Basic troubleshooting knowledge of Windows and Apple computers.Ability to troubleshoot mobile devices and common connectivity issues.Basic network troubleshooting skills.Experience providing remote technical support.Familiarity with common Microsoft applications.Experience using IT service management or ticketing systems to manage support requests.Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute.Ability to write clear, accurate technical notes and support documentation.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Customer service orientation, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.Required IT CertificationCandidates must hold at least one relevant IT certification, such as:CompTIA A+CompTIA Network+Microsoft certificationAnother relevant IT certificationPreferred Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is an organized and service-oriented IT professional who can troubleshoot common technical issues, manage user accounts, document support tickets, and assist users efficiently.
